Have you ever lost a loved one before?

Have you ever experienced that feeling when things seem to be going pretty amazing and then a sudden turn of events take you to the lowest point in your life that almost suffocates you?

If so, you can relate to what I have to say!

It has been 4 years since he has passed, but I still refer to things that he said and did, in the present tense.

There are days when I have woken up from a dream thinking that I have to call and talk to him. There are days when I have felt his presence around me and cried silently. There are days when I have seen someone exhibit his behaviors and told them, “You are so much like him”.

There are days I have had dreams of him leaving me forever and I woke up confused and crying. There are days when I feel like everything is lost and then I remember how he used to motivate me. And, there are days when I bring up something that he used to do and laugh out loud.

No matter how old you are and no matter how many people are around you, the loss of a parent is a hole in your heart that can never ever be filled! We move on, we find happiness in other things and other people, but the way our parent makes us feel is never comparable to anything in this world.

As a pillar of strength and the figure of boldness in my life, he will always be the inspiration for every step that I take and every decision that I make. I love you Dad and I miss you!

Dear readers of the universe,

To all those who have suffered an irreplaceable loss, I pray that you hurt a little less today. I hope you found some solace in reading and reminiscing today, for those memories from the past is something that we shall cherish forever!
